The 2025 issue of the Oral History Australia (OHA) journal Studies in Oral History is now available online at: https://oralhistoryaustralia.org.au/journal/issue-no-47-2025/.
Published with open access, Issue 47 features the theme ‘The Power of Oral History—Risks, Rewards & Possibilities’. This theme is the same as that of the most recent OHA Biennial Conference, held in Melbourne, Australia, from November 21 to 24, 2024.
A highlight of this year’s issue is an article by the world-renowned oral historian Alessandro Portelli, based on his keynote presentation to the 2024 OHA Biennial Conference, held in Melbourne.
This is the last issue to be published by journal editors Dr Carolyn Collins and Dr Skye Krichauff. Carolyn was joint editor of Studies in Oral History for the 2024 and 2025 issues, and Skye was joint editor from 2019 through to 2025.
The new editors, Dr Mia Martin Hobbs and Dr Geraldine Fela, were announced last week. They will edit the 2026 issue of the journal and are expected to issue a Call for Papers soon.
